Wow - what great news!

Camilla's very talented cardiac surgeon was able to repair her mitral valve instead of replacing it! Then, he found that her aortic valve did not need repair or replacement - it was malfunctioning due to an aortic aneurysm. So... he fixed that with a graft, closed, and now she's in the home stretch. Watching atrial fibrillation, which may resolve or need a pacemaker, but we're so very fortunate to have such wonderful news.

Her ICU stay may be a bit longer than originally expected, but she's been up and walking already, and we are thrilled.

  1. I'm so glad to hear such wonderful news, and I feel like we dodged a bullet with news about the aortic aneurysm! Whew! Much love to you Aunt Camilla! I'm so happy that you are on THIS side of the surgery and although the pain is intense, that you are on the road to feeling a lot better in no time! Love you!
